my first guess would be that it's a load sensor, not for the wing, but for just the endplate. but i dont know why there would be all that extra wire that had to be bundled and taped to the wing. and the little box?
maybe it's something to allow one to adjust the front wing angle in remotely? just for free practice, of course.
i'm aware it doesnt connect to the adjustable wing elements, just thinking out loud, really.

So I read somewhere that Rory Byrn will design the 2012 car - any confirmation yet?

No he won't be designing the 2012 car, just assisting with it. From what I've heard he'll be helping the team interpret the regulations for next season and find any potential loopholes.

Rory has been doing that since 2005 when he left. He has always been there as a consultant and assisting Ferrari

Eh? Wasnt Iley fired and went to McL after the F60? He seems to have pingponged between the two teams so much I've lost count

Is there any photo of new front wing (2012 spec)? I read on several web sites that team tested their 2012 spec front wing on Friday.

We've talked about the different suspension Ferrari were using in Silverstone which was apparently their formula to success (If I remember correctly it was not all down to the EBD right?)

I just had a thought yesterday: What if Ferrari are not using their new suspension anymore because it has some unique feature to it which they don't want to show to their competitors? By Silverstone the WDC was very much going Vettel's way, coming back would have meant constant winning for Ferrari.....

I cannot imagine why they would not use it again.....not even on Fridays. Can there be any truth to it or am I grasping at straws?

You can probably write Silverstone off. So many teams were affected to differing degrees and didn't know what they should really be doing with their throttles that you can't say anything certain about that race.

Ferrari certainly cannot equal Red Bull in high speed corners as they did in that race and as they subsequently claimed.

But the weird thing was that that race they DID equal RBR in the fast stuff. That's especially impressive given that that should've seen the smallest EBD ban effect

AMS wrote that Ferrari used its Silverstone suspension in Singapure, interesting article about Ferrari's tyre degradation:

I think Ferrari will use this suspension in Suzuka again.

(Maybe everytime an "S" is involved in the name. Did they have it in Spa? )
