No, people, it's not Macca, nor is it McLaren - it's Vodafone McLaren Mercedes, thank you; and it's not Hammy, nor "The Boss" - and it's certainly not Lewis, to those of you who want to pretend that you're best friends with the gentleman.
Mr. Hamilton, if you don't mind.
And if it's possible for our esteemed moderators to hand out lashings for these disrespectful nicknames - real ones, not the tongue variety - I would be quite pleased. Quite please indeed.
Sincerely,
Mr. Pup, esq.
Dear Sir,
I might draw your noble attention to the correct use of the term - esquire.
It is not correct for a gentleman such as your august self to refer to one as "Mr Pedant, Esquire"
It is proper to be either - Mr Pedant, or, if you are more common, Pedant, Esquire.
I am at your service,
Honourably pedantic,
M.
On topic - specifically - it is the lame banter aimed at our large jawed south american friend that seems to stick in my gullet.
Keep that out of a technical forum - which is what this place is, has been, should be in the future and all the better for it.
