Considering all the bad luck he has had this season I pray to see him winning again, it doesnt matter if we need rain, 10000 safety cars and whatever else. He has to win, he deserves it!!!

what the man said.

He definetely is down to earth ,honest and a true sportsman .those three years have made him bigger in my view no doubt about it .A miracle win would be a fitting end ..but sadly MGP will not be able to deliver but in his words: hope dies last...

He made me cheer for Mercedes ...now it´s time to go back to just be interested in the technical side of the sport.to me he is the ultimate racedriver with all his weaknesses and strengths .

+1 Dragonfly and Marcush

Sad to see him go. Especially in the manner in which it unfolded. Nevertheless, We can all expect sublime performances from him in the remaining races, provided he gets a reliable car  .

F1 wont ever be the same without Schumacher. It wasnt when he retired in 2006 and it wont be now.
Forza Michael. Forza Jules

Sad day, I will always remember the battles with damon hill, Hakkien , alonso. Also some of them amazing drives (hungry 1998) and loads of others. LEGEND

What I think is a shame is that he's retiring whilst on a (general) upward curve - he's much more competitive relative to Rosberg than he was two years ago. He's out-qualified Rosberg this year and might have had a similar (if not greater) points level if not for the huge unreliability.

Would he have won Monaco but for the penalty? If he had, I would feel less disappointed by the retirement. It's almost as if the whole 3 years gave fuel to those who like to explain the incredible success he had with stories of preferential treatment/tyres etc....

For me, that he was still able to match Rosberg this year, at 43 years of age, just shows how phenomenal he must have been when he was Rosberg's age.

Yeah..
I feel a bit empty inside about this as well. So sad.
Maybe we are lucky and at least see him on the podium again this year. One last Hura for the Legend.
Next year, I will go back to being a Ferrari man, in general, not supporting anyone in particular.
Ai ja jai...
But in that respect, we (those over 22 years old) have been privilaged to see probably the two best F1 drivers ever to grace the sport.

- Ayrton Senna
- Michael Schumacher

You either love(d) them or hate(d) them, although I think one would be very hard pressed to find someone that would hate Senna.

I truely think that nobody will get 7 or 8 titles in the near future.

will be dramatic for him if w04 can fight for championship because no matter how mentally strong you are, you can not think that car was developed by you and another guy enjoying it
I really hope W04 will be like w03 (no hard feelings for Lewis)

EDIT: another thing that displeases me is that most (dumbs) will remain with this image of him

Yes, if this happens it would be very hard for Michael. Nothing against Lewis and Nico but I dont want to see a fast and reliable Mercedes next season, it would be absolutely unjust for Michael.

its funny how we all feel the exact same things im glad i stumbled on you guys or i would think im abnormal.

lets remember some of the highlights of this 3 year spell korea 2010 canada 2011 monza 2011, hungry 2010 :D . monaco 2012 valencia 2012 and all the qualifying from this year.

as well as all the others.

the only gripe i have right now is that i wanted to see msc go toe to toe with ham alons and vettel over the 3 years. but with the exception of ham this hasnt happened once every time something was developing on track the mercs tires went off and the guys walsed passed.

its merc thats left us with this horrible empty feeling. oh well ill start following valentino and raikkonen closely again.

Wrong descision.
Finishing races is important, but racing is more important.

No no, I think you are abnormal :P

It's not normal to wish that the car next year is terrible, purely because Michael won't be driving it. To me, that's really unsporting, and a bit ugly. I can understand being a fan (as I am of Lewis) but I wouldn't wish Perez to have a terrible car next year - that's just bonkers.

Re: Schumacher Retires (again)

I dont think ist the wrong decision per se.
Monte said that Ferrari wont place a driver alongside Alonso that would take wins off him, so they wont take Michael back.
Schumi to good to be Alonso's team mate? But why "sign Vettel for 2014? Strange statement that, but anyhow.

Schumacher should always be associated with a big name brand, not a private team, just for driving sake. He probably was tempted by Sauber, but took the correct decision I feel.

@Hangaku lewis at some point needs too work for succsess...

i mean he himself said he wants the challenge of building a team up so if he jumps in a really quick w04 then that according to himself will be a failure.
