.. but compared to the bikes of decades ago, the major advances have been in chassis/tyres ( & road surface)..
In 1977 Mick Grant was clocked at 191mph through a speed trap.. & he had to complete more than 1 lap to win..
" Crazy" these riders are not.. gifted, yes.. but they must ride within themselves - given the oft fatal result of a crash.
