Are Castor and Kingpin angle fixed with design ?

Here are our CFD links and discussions about aerodynamics, suspension, driver safety and tyres. Please stick to F1 on this forum.

As a general rule of thumb mounting the tie rod in front and below the wheel centerline and above and behind the centerline will give CU, and CO in the inverse positions.
ok yes i read about this but why in F1 they put it exactly the opposite of this theory ?
godlameroso wrote: Also, if you have the KPI so that an imaginary line drawn through it from front view intersects the wheel/tire axis at the center of the tire tread you'll have center point steering and avoid any "kickback" from the scrub radius.
what do you mean by this ? do you mean the positive or negative radius ? because i chose a positive radius of near 10mm

about what you told me all are connected, i can imagine that now yes, how the castor but about the kingpin is it a regulated design or fixed ?
about the upright, do they usually make a perfect upright which means 0 castor 0 kingpin 0 camber and 0 toe but everything can be adjustable ? or not ?

It's fine, a little positive is ok because it adds steering feel, true center point steering makes it feel a little numb.
