Still not looking too good for mclaren 0.3-0.5s of the pace of renault!

http://f1.racing-live.com/f1/en/headlin ... 3045.shtml

I think that 0.3-0.5s is in ideal situations for mclaren. The gap widens when the tyres are not the best for the track like we was in imola. Does anyone know why mclaren are running the harder compounds more this season. Traditionally they have the car thats easiest on tyres.

There you have a dyno graph for a C6 785 rwhp.

I have heard that in Europe you also have nice cars, even if they are a little underpowered. Did you say 770 hp? Is it street-legal? I bet it doesn't have dices hanging from the rear-view mirror, so I do not know if you can sell it in California...

We could lend one of these Corvettes to McLaren, if they ask politely. We will throw-in the dices for free... :D

European cars may be underpowered, but they have susupension :!: (sorry, little joke there) Euro cars are supposedly far ahead of US cars in terms of reliability.

I have a couple of dice in the back of my race car, to put the others off.

I will try and post some pics of the race on Sunday.

if youre refering to american cars in terms of power, id shut up if i where you. i dont know if you can call a car underpowered if european 2 litre 4cyl engines create 150-200hp wheres in the geat land of america youd have a 4l v8 or v6 to get the same power, with a hell of a lot more vibration and fuel consumption about double

all i can say is mclaren has very good race pace. they need to be abit more aggresive with their qualifying strategy and is in contention to win any race.

dave killens, i was referring to ciro pabons comment and torque curve, and in addition to normal cars, european and japanese cars are also ahead in racing(compare f1 and indy engines for example)

Forget about the suspension, Mclaren is losing pace in Barcelona. Monty 12th and Kimi 9th, this is indicates to me no podium for Mclaren in Barcelona I guess. :(
