It must be because if you click on the picture it says David Coulthard - Schumachers helmet as the link.

Refering to the subject, the main use of a mid-wing now is not to generate downforce.

Wazojugs got it right - it was when DC and Schuey were still best buddies (before Spa nailing) and Schuey borrowed his helmed to DC for race in Monaco

1996 Monaco...it only rained 2 hours before the race....David didn't have a helmet prepared for wet weather, so his visor fogged up....for the race, since Mclaren & Ferrari were sponsored by Marlboro, David asked Schummy for one of his helmets....and he raced with it the whole race.

Somebody's already answered the question (haven' tlooked at other posts in this thread yet) but DC asked to borrow Michael's helmet at Monaco 1996. I have that race on CD... it's pretty funny

But DC and Michael!!!

At one point (post spa '98) they were like Senna and Prost. OK thats exagerating and they might actually be friends now but after that incident they became instant enemies and the British press had a field day. (what is a field day?)

To imagine them close enough to share helmets. It just isn't done.
