Piquet to this day still has a sharp tongue and doesn't miss a chance of calling Senna gay and so on.
I've seen him say that the active suspension made it difficult to feel what the car was doing and Mansell wasn't very good with it, so when he was at Williams they basically gave up on it first because of Mansell and second because when they lost the Honda engines to McLaren they didn't have enough power to run it. And then when the system was fully developed, Mansell just had the easy job of using it to cruise to his world championship.

Mansel wasn't keen on the active suspension to start with because he'd used it in the Lotus and it had let him down.

Piquet has one of the biggest egos of any racing driver - and that's amazing when you think most have huge egos - and would never admit that Mansell was just too quick for him. Piquet wanted Williams to tell Mansell to let him win because he thought he had Number 1 status.

That account doesn't hold with what Dernie and Murray say about him in the podcasts. Dernie even says Piquet was the faster of the two. There was a lit of British press twisting of facts (who'da thunk) to build up Mansell.
