I agree with many of the comments above. Max helped (with Bernie and Prof Watkins) bring F1 from the bad old days in the 80s. He's no saint though I agree. Some of his bully boy tactics when dealing with teams and the TWG are quesionable. As for counting money in his villa, anyone heard of Bernie Ecclestone?
F1 is big business and rather tricky to keep together what with everyone wanting a say and peice of the pie. Not to mention the money being spent and the pace of development.
Overall feeling from me is "better the devil you know".
I think the most important thing for hm to focus on is getting the rules tech and sporting) right.
Lets not also forget NCAP and all the other racing series that come under his juristiction.
Also, "Rome wasn't built in a day"

Regarding monkeyboy's comment on Bernie... Bernie is owner, so he can only be bought out. Max is an employee in FIA that abuses his position for personal enrichment and as such can and must be replaced.
