Having Ferrari in the mix would be welcome. Hopefully their upgrade this weekend works

Not counting for any flags, safety cars or other outliers and its only three races in but the finishing times have been much closer this year?
I think this is just tire wear. The first two races were very cold even rainy, hard tire selection in Japan. Thus the big differentiator on the tires was not there. Expected to change this weekend.

Races are still boring with no real wheel to wheel racing but lets see how the season develops. I tune out all the "tHe caR iS sO DoMinaNt" noise on this forum.
If the first two races were boring, you might need to look into other series...but I fear this needs to be something like rally cross if you really want to see more wheel to wheel action.

Their upgrade package is regular upgrade, not related to the issues seem to have. So it begs the question how much improvement are we looking with unresolved issue?

because the main problem is the height at which they ride, the updates should allow them to ride as low as they want, from raising the car they lose approximately 3-4 tenths, which could quite easily allow them to fight with McLaren

The problem is...that is the problem of everyone and you simply do not solve a 3-4tenth issue with one update.
The issue is the interplay on suspension and floor...and...let us keep a secret to not spoil the party in the Ferrari thread...it is quite unlikely that they now bring a Mclaren at Miami style update that reworks all floor and suspension.

as I understand the matter in the floor, I think it is quite possible that they can find 3 tenths, 3mm is very much for ground effect, they raise the car very much and lose a lot of performance, it seems to me that potentially Ferrari can become the fastest car

If they had Fred they could find 6 tenths.

Its a possibility IF they recognise an error they've incorporated into design that effectively drives the negative positioning.

But then if they have the potential to recognise that, they shouldn't have built it that way initially. And so it goes around.

What can correct it is different thinking or overview, or the designer responsible seeing another solution that ultimately leads to a clarity in what they've done wrong. Those named personnel into McL having influenced that clarity of thinking there, which these other team are now chasing.
That performance change did show significant steps can be made.

And hopefully there won't be any disqualification for them after those upgrades.

There is no news or rumors on any upgrades on AMR, after all the hype for past 2 years, maybe they are more cautious... or since the new WT being operational recently, the possible upgrades may be still in production...

I'm terrible at judging this, but is Red Bull running much more wing? I wouldn't be surprised to see a different wing on that car (or at least Max').
