Dutchman Christijan Albers has stated he is out of the run for a seat at Minardi in 2003
Albers had been working with his management to secure a deal to drive for the team alongside Justin Wilson this season but he was not able to come up with the $3 million before the deadline. Stoddart had agreed a provisional deal with Albers conditional on him finding the money but had also set a deadline of December 31, which he extended several days into the New Year.
