I quite like it in an old skool kind of way. Looks like a scalextric car!

It is ugly and that bluff nose is just nasty..but I love the clean monocoque sides and the swoopy sidepods.

In some way I like this car... It has some "f*ck you" attitude, which is cool :) And it sertainly looks like no other formula car...

It is interesting that BMW opted for high-nose while Williams used low-nose. I guess we would see either very high, or very low nose positions and not much in between...

What I don't like is the endplates on both front and rear wings - very boxy...

As noted in autosport forums, the rear wing is 3 elements and the diffuser seems different that the one on the williams.

This picture is also interesing. Seems like Magnetti Marelli KERS require additional radiator.

Btw, why would BMW waste time driving the 2009 car on grooved tires? Is it only cause this is a shake down run?

Thanks, they seem to have the high center-section from the 2008 cars and not the low wide deep version of the Williams?

Will all the cars look the same as with BMW's? or is it just some kind of a mock up, and all teams will find a way to sculpt their cars some more? Any thoughts? I thought the 09 spec cars' front section would look something like this, at the very least:

watching that ferrari "cooling bulge" on top of one of the sidepods made me think. could teams opt to get air intake for the engine in a similar fashion, and only leave the empty roll bar loop on top to make room for more air to pass thru there onto the now very narrow and tall rear wing?
