What would the KERS system be like then? A Nuke Enable switch?

Just like the idiots that live around the Monza circuit. Why the f*ck would you buy a house around there if you can't stand the engine noise? And then complain nearly to the point of closing down the circuit... those people deserve a huge 'WTF?'.

Sure enough. We don't really have any guns in the house, though, I just like the stereotype.

Spa gone for the next 17 years?! :( its undoubtedly the most beautiful track and hosts the most exciting races in the season.
People actually complained about the noise!! I thought they must ve gotten used to it after all these years(if they re not motorsport lovers that it to say).

It's like after 80 years of all sorts of motor-racing suddenly it became a tad too noisy. The bloody ecomentalists would rather turn it into a sad green and quiet wasteland like the A1-ring.

Yeah...miss the Osterreich A1 ring too, it was a unique track. But taking Spa away from F1 is like taking away sunshine from a summer holiday, unthinkable!
Seriously, as long as we have fossil fuels, people should start enjoying motor races instead of than banning them.

Absolutely.

There are now many instances of this farce affecting racing circuits across the world.

Nutts corner, here in Ireland, has been half closed - despite being a racing circuit for 25 years.

Snetterton - England. Racing circuit since 1948. New housing estate built in the last decade...

Cue ridiculous noise complaint about the circuit across the hedge that has existed for 5 times longer than the houses. It is not as if any of the residents moved in not knowing what was there.

The judge that found for the residents ought to be taken out and shot for their sheer stupidity.

Has F1 gotten louder over the years? The V-8's are surely louder than the turbo years but most say the V-10's were louder.
How loud were the DFV's compared to today's 2.4L V-8s.

What if F1 has doubled or tripled in noise output, would that give the residents cause to complain?

It's not only about F1. There were always the bikes, all sorts of sportscars including thunder of the Vettes etc.

Accoring to Radio Le Mans some of the complaints came from like 25 miles away, which is :^o

During my most recent track spectating outings I've noticed that the race spec E46 M3's were the loudest of the bunch. There were a wide variety of cars but those M3's were loud as hell. A guy from the race team said they were World Cup spec.

Luckily this particular track is not in a residential area, otherwise it would have the same fate as another track nearby that is closed most of the time due to noise complaints, although the odd thing is that it's located extremely close to an airfoce base? :wtf:

Present V8 F1 is nothing crazy. I've seen it at the distance not bigger than 15 meters and I it was nothing extraordinary to tolerate.
