You better not talk like that, then visit our country to watch this sport, i think that would make you some sort of hypocrite.
If you meant Canada when you said "our country", then AFAIK Giblet is also included in "our".
I am not amazed by F1 cars in Monaco. I want to see them driving in the A8 highway: Variable radius corners, negative banking, and extreme narrowings that Tilke has never dreamed off. Oh, yes, and "beautiful" weather tops it all.

What are you talking about? I am Canadian, live in Canada, and can hate on CNN all I want. I am attending the Montreal grand prix?

What you are on about I am not sure.

Well, I don't know, the world is a theater, isn't it?

I like CNN for some things: I like Wolf Blitzer, I like Larry King, I liked the idea of 24 hours news, I watched live on CNN many things you now take for granted to be able to see live, but that many years ago were broadcasted only at 9 pm or so by a bunch of rigid anchors on an even more prefabricated format.

Sure they can get better, but it's a waste of time to become fixated on the mistakes of others.

As is the case in drivers, I try to see what's good in people. I couldn't be a mod here if I weren't... ;)

So, yeah, 95% of news made by main news channels respond to big sponsor interests, but, let's be frank, the other 5% are made by nuts with an agenda.

News are the glorification of gossip. Period. However, gossips are indispensable for humans or, at least, for the ones I know.

Frankly, I don't watch news, I read them. I try to read from many sources: I read Haaretz (instead of CNN), sure, but then I take a look to the Palestinian Authority website and later to Hamas site.

So, what would be better, in your opinion? A Wikipedia sponsorship? A Book of the Month sponsorship? The Independent? Mother Theresa's Network Television? ;)

Frankly, I would like to have a CNNNN sponsorship, but, unfortunately, CNNNN is out.

Puh-leeze. Let's have even funnier sponsors: condoms, Power Puff girls, you name it. Let's learn from NASCAR.

Isn't this what you call a livery? Your three year old girl will love it. Those team marketing guys said: "we doubt CNN ethics: let's go with Cartoon Network!"

Ka-pow! Pfizer, a company known for its generosity, teams up with the Caped Crusader, The Bat-man

Yeah, I've always dreamt of being a part of the "Boniva Ibandronate Sodium Tablets" team. We are jumping in joy, like the logo. Pass the bong, bro.
Image

From the person that created the Achy Breaky Heart Show AND Hanna Montana (and you complain about CNN programming, for the love of Pete!) :D
Image

On a second thought, the Peckers Racing Team does it with pride
Image

People, you complain too much. I can imagine some of you complaining in paradise about the wings being "too feathery" and the halos being "too heavy". Some others would be saying "yeah, but it's a conspiracy by sandal makers: they want us to discard the halos and buy new sandals".

Finally, if you do not want your loathed CNN logo to be visible, you can hide it behind a definitely horrible livery. This is my list, painstakingly (and I'm literal here) built through the years.

Go faster, Damon (someone could see you!

Jenson, get in: this way nobody will notice we have NO sponsors (not even CNN)

What colour is this? Is it a colour at all? The B&H ad makes it look like a bent billboard in the shape of a car.

The '93 Larrousse was pretty damn gaudy in its own right! :o

Even though it was a movie car, the film Stroker Ace from the 80's with Burt Reynolds and Loni Anderson was about selling out to sponsors.

Image

The Chicken Pit car in it's 'plucked' livery was the epitome of gaudiness.

Here is Burt arriving for the race:

Well, yes, but next year they outdone themselves. This is a car for some harlequin supervillain from Batman.

Image

Let's not forget the Copersucar livery: nothing makes more sense than being supported in racing by a sugar cane cooperative (ethanol was lightyears away).

Image

Now, here you have a livery that makes you proud of the ethics of sponsors in F1:

For the younger ones: Parmalat holds the record for the biggest bankruptcy in history. Compared with that, Mr. Turner ethics seem commendable. Go, Parmalat!
Image

For many years after his accident, Niki Lauda wore a cap with the Parmalat logo. It's a shame CEO Calisto Tanzi got 10 years for fraud.

However, nothing incorporates more gaudiness and sponsor ethics than Master Card and Lola in 97.

This car is famous for using the old and well known tactic of "Oh, my eyea! Let him pass before I get colorblind" to overcome other drivers on the track
Image

On a positive side, I guess Lola's members could pay with Visa, the company devoted to the welfare of humankind. This thought makes me feel warm inside.

I wonder if I haven't just thrown this tread out of itself...
