Lotus E20 Renault

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

I do like the E20 name. They are also talking about celebrating the 500th race by the Enstone team. Hopefully it'll help them put the mess of the last 2 years firmly behind them

I'm really looking forward to the launch, I have a feeling Lotus will be very aggressive with there ideas. At least I hope so anyway :D

What time is the launch, and is there a live streaming? Where will they unveil it?

I think you've done the numbers the wrong way around. 4PM UK I think.

I just hate those time zones, some uses CET, some GMT ... why don't they just use London time and we can all figure out our time by our self

GMT is basically CET-1. London is GMT.

At least it's only an hour's difference!

Half the teams are based in the UK, the rest on the continent. Most F1 fans are in Europe, using CET seems to be a pretty reasonable thing to do. It's not like it takes much to convert the time zone anyway...

No but Renault always preferred drooping noses even in 2009 and 2010 when the high noses where 'fancy' and even last year's nose wasn't really a high on but more a compromise...

It's terrible, you have to first look up what CET is and then do the conversion. Everyone knows what timezone they live in, so why not give it in GMT and make it really simple for the rest of the planet.

CET or Continental European Time = GMT+1.
In Summer London time is GMT+1 too. Many people in London don't even know this. They GMT in summer is the same as London time when its not!

CET is an official time zone therefore its easy to look it up with Google and understand what the local time will be.
