You can almost see where the rear upper control arm attaches to the bell housing... wow.. they really used the extra time well.

This solution is I have not seen. What would aero benefits may have this roller?

They didn't get more development time, the car was designed and signed off, as usual. It's just the manufacturing and delivery was delayed. This car was designed in their wind tunnel. The Spanish GP update will have the TMG Cologne aero update.
Also I think there might not be a blown axle, as the rear axle appears to be hollow too, thus a glitch in the rendering.

The front push rod pick up point is almost on the top of the chassis; wonder how that would work

I put a picture of the roller on the back of the floor along rear tire .. post is currently in moderation.

I wonder whether it is a solution already been at one of the car and which are the aerodynamic advantages from it.

You should take a look at the VJM07 thread. This update was introduced mid-season 2014 on the VJM07.

If you look closely rear one has a hole in it too. I think it is just made like that on this render, but we won't know for sure until Friday when we will finally see VJM08 on the track

any early photos of vjm08? or has it yet not been delivered. don't know why they took so much time transporting equipment after they fired up vjm08 in factory couple of days back.
