is that a non nylock nut on the suspension?


Also high res shouts of the layup work on F1 cars makes me warm inside

I find it pretty funny that the first picture posted after the crash pictures is one with an "insurance experts" ad on it :lol:

They probably use jet nut in F1 instead of nyloc....smaller, lighter, an don't have to worry about nyloc melting.

the sauber c30 shows quite a few Force India genes ....the rollhoop stays and the sidepod shape is a straight carry over....

Imagine where the VJM-03 could have been of James Key finished developing it, he probably just took what was best of the FI and developed them to fit the C30, some mp4-25 features on it also I hope they have big upgrades for bahrain.

Those little foils hanging off the wing are interesting. Are they to help turn some of the diffuser flow into the low-pressure zones behind the wheels?

EDIT: Nothing new, as N12ck points out below. See here for instance.

if im not mistaken the 3 dangly vanes are very similar to the toyota tf110's rear wing endplate solution

I know them from 2009, just wanted to show them, havent seen them on other 2011 cars

Red Bull were running a similar solution on the RB5, but it was dropped for the RB6. my guess was it was inefficient with the DD or the EBD they were running.

other than directing flow into the low pressure zone behind the wheels, what benefit could this provide?

point in note Red Bull have opted for a fully closed solutiong for their rear wing, could be some interesting development in this area that we have yet to see under the "new rear wing" regulations
