I wouldn't so much call it a slotted main plane, but the first flap is just permanently mounted with no adjustment. It really is two separate airfoils. It's really extremely similar to the latest Sauber FWtimbo wrote:Right click and "open image" in your browser, then you can zoom and see for yourself.beelsebob wrote:I don't really see it tbh, do we have comparison shots, because it looks a lot like the 2011 wing to me.
Note the slotted main plane for example.
And yet Alonso is using it in the race, so clearly it's providing some benefit.MIKEY_! wrote:Very basic compared to the old one.
I don't think "basic" is the right word. What's so "basic" about it? I'd agree with "simple" though.myurr wrote:And yet Alonso is using it in the race, so clearly it's providing some benefit.MIKEY_! wrote:Very basic compared to the old one.
can this mean they will go U-sidepods for next year??SiLo wrote:the profile of the wing (inside) looks very similar to the Mclaren wing.
I think there might have been some confusion here at Ferrari, looks like a wing to be used for the launch configuration F2012. Or maybe they're going really basic in the beginning so it looks like they're developing the FW and doing upgrade work over 2012.MIKEY_! wrote:Very basic compared to the old one.
it will probably be much more developed by the time the 2012 car will be finishedKing Six wrote:I think there might have been some confusion here at Ferrari, looks like a wing to be used for the launch configuration F2012. Only Sauber uses a wing really similar.MIKEY_! wrote:Well they do say next years car will be radical. But there are several other cars with similar wings I believe currently.
