McLaren MCL34

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

Not necessarily a whole new spec but just some small tweaks.

Also flo-viz test for diffuser. Maybe a tweak there as well.

Why would the go with even higher mounting point? Any knowledge on this?

There are many questions, we will wait for the opinion of experts.

I think the new upper mounting point is for more stiffness. I can't see another reason. (Of course aero testing for next year is Always a possibility)

The height of the mounting point itself doesn't seem higher, but this seems similar to the suspension modification they made in the pushrod and raced in Hungary. Maybe they are doubling up on that to make low speed performance better for Singapore and beyond.

probably, maybe allowing more air through, i think most updates we will se from now on will be to the front of the car to confirm next year solutions, mclaren did that often in the past,

Perhaps these are generators of a useful vortex. Well, or absolutely nonsense, this device serves as a heat accumulator from tires and brakes. :wtf:

Probably neither. But just maybe the latter by stiffening it up and increasing surface contact somehow.
