That was begining of the season. At Barcelona's track is the best indication of car's strong and weak points.

Nope, they did crash tests around that time (in-season test before Barcelona), they changed nose (front crash tests), sidepods (side crash tests) and developed new gearbox (rear crash tests).

For me that's a lot of work ...

I can't see any value in Merc allowing Lewis to go out underweight and set a flattering time after all of the playing down of performance.

Perhaps you should have listened to me 2 weeks ago when I said that the car was deffinately capable of a 1:21.0, and possibly faster.

They brought a new chasis to the track and I imagine a lot of parts. To bolt on the part takes a lot of time. Just like last year. Every reporter saying RB being quickest while the new chassis was knee-jerk reaction to the opponents pace.

Just saw on Sky F1 some footage from todays morning, Lewis was using his DRS not only on the main straight

So this leaves his best times look in another light...

That's weird, what's the point of using DRS in a way that won't be allowed at any point in the season
