Was indeed fun, especially with our boy Stoffel showing the way!

Vettel nearly hadn't the courage or energy to inform the pits for his shunt and remembering what corner it was in

I'm really looking forward to this qualifying session. The second-row contenders have been all over the place in the 3 practise sessions, I have absolutely no idea who's going to make it.

it's all under homologation rule, and as Renault homologated their most powerful version, so reliability update is legit and ok by the rules and my opinion.
also I don't want Merc domination, some suspense must be guaranteed...

I get the feeling reliability updates will be a norm this season.

Some info about it.

Heart-breaking disadvantage for Red Bull from new engine rules. There goes every customer gets the same equipment garbage. And people treat double points in one race as the end of the world. Is Toro Rosso special customer now, too (rhetorical). As if owning two team wasn't enough of a pathology. It's only a beginning of new ultra competitive F1, wait till Mateschitz and Ecclestone (hopefully from the jail) along with the others will be running this circus together. Ferrari are already preparing fans approval survey.

It's pretty much the same for Mercedes (and probably even more for Ferrari based on the past):

Looking at the speed trap from fp3, last 6 teams if we remove Lotus from that table are racing with Ferrari's PU. Very sad

Perez has been quite all weekend up till that Fp3 time, might be a nice surprise in qualifying.

Mercs also getting new engines in China with changed/new hardware. Looking at the 5 engine rule it's far too early for Renault already pushing out new engines at this stage of the season.

Looking at the huge advantage the merc engines have compared to the crap from Renault and Ferrari, I think we will see the most dominated and boring F1 season in the last decade. The last seasons were --- already but this one will top it. Mercs will easily win nearly every race this season no matter if the RBR or Ferrari chassis is better or not.

If I were RBR or Ferrari I would wait until the first 2 races in Europe and then skip racing and use the rest of the season for testing and development.
