Either way looking good than any of the past races for Ferrari.
yeah i heard it late if tht is the case then FP1 pace cant be fluke. i think everyone of us want to see fight between 4-5 drivers for top slot to make race bit more interesting.

Marussia are suprisingly close to Sauber, as I think Bianchi would have been faster than Chilton anyway in FP2. And that is without any Canada spec low DF upgrades. Caterham on the other hand seem to have lost their way completely. Even after looking at the best sector times, Kobayashi was still over a second slower than Chilton. Not good.

Dangit, I'll have to miss the live broadcast! Will catch the rerun on NBCSN at 15:00 but this will be the first race I won't have seen live since Monza 2008!

The information about the floor is encouraging for Ferrari (if true).

Also, the BBC commentators were waxing lyrical about Mercedes' long run pace but when they showed raikkonen's laps they looked comparable, if a little more erratic. (Obviously we don't know fuel loads blah blah)

I would be very surprised if Merc hadn't used a second engine by now - we're 7 races in, the engines are only meant to last 5 races.

Lotus is doing surprisingly well to think of all there troubles. Vettel is going to get loads of penalty's.

They're still on 3 of most items, which means they're breaking 4-5 parts every 2-3 races on average. With that, it's likely that we'll see them getting penalties 3-7 races from the end of the season, and every second race thereafter, unless Renault sort out their act.

I expect that most Renault teams, rather than eating a 10 place grid drop will actually choose to go to the back of the grid, and change every part of their engine, because that's better than getting a succession of 10 place drops.

I think the penalties will cancel out because almost all the teams will be getting them. Best to use the new engines before the last race and take then penalty then. For the last race they can continue to use their freshly selected engines from the previous race.
For Sure!!

All the Mercedes teams are bang on target for the number of parts they should have used at this point in the season, so no, I don't think that they'll get any (or many if they do).

I meant all Merc teams on engine 3 and MGP on 2 ... don't remember where i read it ... could be wrong
