Look at the NTT logo.Moose wrote:Not at all - they're exactly coincident with the position of the two planes of the wing.godlameroso wrote:But what about all those plugs along the end plates? They're far below the two wing planes, they're orange round plugs.
They do seem to align with the wing profile. More importantly, the plugs itself draw a (rough) wing profile.godlameroso wrote:Look at the NTT logo.Moose wrote:Not at all - they're exactly coincident with the position of the two planes of the wing.godlameroso wrote:But what about all those plugs along the end plates? What about it? That NTT logo is exactly opposite the main plane of the rear wing.godlameroso wrote:Look at the NTT logo.Moose wrote:Not at all - they're exactly coincident with the position of the two planes of the wing.godlameroso wrote:But what about all those plugs along the end plates? How many wing adjustment plugs do you need.Moose wrote:What about it? That NTT logo is exactly opposite the main plane of the rear wing.godlameroso wrote:Look at the NTT logo.Moose wrote: Not at all - they're exactly coincident with the position of the two planes of the wing.
It appears that the answer is 8 in McLaren's case. They've had this kind of arrangement on their rear wing in previous years too, it's been for swapping out parts and adjusting AoA every time.godlameroso wrote:How many wing adjustment plugs do you need.Moose wrote:What about it? Agree. Looks so much more effective than last year's.BosF1 wrote:I really like what they have done to the front suspension.Silent Storm wrote: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/C5bkXNxWAAAOPOh.jpg

Interesting =D> =D>Motorsportweek.com:
McLaren’s approach to the new sidepod regulations, however, is neat. The rules require a backwards diagonal line from a point on the chassis when viewed from above – the floor, rather than the bodywork on top, has been used to meet this criterion. This has enabled the team to focus on shaping the sidepod intakes as they desire, continuing with their inward facing inlets from last year to best cool the internals. The narrower bodywork and a traditional sized airbox as a result of this thinking will help reduce the car’s overall drag.
