Red Bull RB10 Renault

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

Vettel is running almost no RW in fp3, prepping for the race obviously.

No slots in the endplate at all

+more df (so the wing could produce more df than it looks like)
- massive vortices

Guys, whatever happened to this?

Did they have something special there that now perhaps Mercedes has copied or was it all just smoke no fire?

I think those are the turning vanes of a different car, or Red Bull has added a new nose. The nose has a strong upward angle, this does not fit the Red bull nose.

Also, the suspension arms mount to the lower part of the tub, while on the Red Bull there is more area below it, featuring an S-duct and 2 other tunnels, not present here.

I think the image is from the STR.

You can clearly see the "3", it's Dan's car and the S duct is also clearly visible.

Definitely the RB10, the paint colour is different from the TR cars - looks like they've brought a big Aero spec change.

The main color is mostly the same, certainly through different lightning.

The upward kink for the nose really gives it away.

EDIT:

Also, on here the lower part of the pillar is in the blue color, which it is not on the image of the turning vanes.

RedBull have a noticeable Purple Hue to their Blue and TR have a much deeper shade of blue - trust me it's very different (very noticeable in the flesh).

EDIT: (Check Out these in High Res)
