Those are a bit strange. He was dropping off until the 38.430, after which he got back in the 21's and below. He didn't pit inbetween?

Ah ok, that explains the 38.430. Maybe his tyres cooled down after that and had them running in a better temperature window.Or he just upped the pace/PU.
Yea, just noticed what you meant. He was consistently faster after this 38.4 lap than he was before. Probably one of the reasons you've mentioned.
AS is having amateur hour. Bottas was 1 stint ahead of Leclerc so it looked better then it actually is.JPBD1990 wrote: ↑28 Feb 2019, 17:32Autosport:

Are we confused or are they? The comparisons posted here show Ferrari well out in front on long run pace... or have I misunderstood something?
I thought so, but I thought they wouldn’t get something so basic wrong. Have they ever actually... seen f1? O.oferkan wrote: ↑28 Feb 2019, 17:37AS is having amateur hour. Bottas was 1 stint ahead of Leclerc so it looked better then it actually is.JPBD1990 wrote: ↑28 Feb 2019, 17:32Autosport:

I was dubious of ferrari’s pace on shorter runs because no one was showing their hand, but long run pace is harder to fake. Maybe they really are ahead?
I would be shocked, but hey... stranger things have happened
Rolls can be tires only when there is momentum. The roll hoop sometimes just misses the ground.FittingMechanics wrote: ↑28 Feb 2019, 17:01I'm not really buying it. Camera assembly on roll hoop seems fine so I do not think the car rolled over, perhaps it rotated and hit the wall with the backside (rear wing/right tire) which broke the rear suspension, rear wing and rotated the car afterwards.
