Well, Merc's race sim was much slower. Constantly 0.5-0.7/lap.

Rumor: testing is over for RB.
Finishing races is important, but racing is more important.

According to photographers the Red Bull rolled in the gravel (AMuS) - would explain why the rear wing was ... relocated
I'm not really buying it. Camera assembly on roll hoop seems fine so I do not think the car rolled over, perhaps it rotated and hit the wall with the backside (rear wing/right tire) which broke the rear suspension, rear wing and rotated the car afterwards.
Rolls can be tires only when there is momentum. The roll hoop sometimes just misses the ground.
But it's a bit moot anyway as afaik there is damage to the cameras, engine covers and roll hoop :wtf:

If true, the Bottas's stints are more impressive than we think

Nope, that's the pitstop apperatusses that they are packing up, tomorrow there will not be any pitstop practicing anymore.

Quite intriguing.
Ferrari seems to start on faster laps and starts slowing down by the end of the stint, on all stints and they only run C2. They see a degradation of one second on the first stint, 1.5 second on the second stint and 2 seconds on the third stint.

Mercedes maintains a constant pace throughout the stint on C2 and puts faster times at the end of the stint. It's hard to compare the C2 as Ferrari didn't run them.

Two very distinct approaches to the race sim.

I hate to make a broad, sweeping generalization, but Ferrari is the car to beat ATM. They have the one lap qualy pace and it would appear during race sims they are consistently managing tire wear across all of the compounds tested so far; less drop off lap to lap compared to Merc, RB, Renault.

Three of the main contenders this season experiencing big setbacks:

- Merc with that oil pressure fire
- Ferrari with Vettel binning it due to mechanical failure
- Red Bull with Gasly totalling the car today
