Still 25 laps to go, but that decision to put Alsonso on softs is baffling... Before the first safety car it seemed clear that the ferraris were going to try to not stop again. So now he either has to try to make the softs last until the end, or be pretty much the only one having to stop again and pass everyone.
That penalty for Stroll is pretty crazy, Alonso's lockup caused a concertina effect and everyone braking, and he didnt have much chance to avoid Ricciardo
Since Alo is not overtaking Perez, I think he's gonna try to go to the end on these tyres.
Yeah, unless there is another VSC or SC he might not even get points if he pits again. But with 30 lap old softs in the end he might get passed by lots of cars too...
Softs would be a sitting duck to the end. Still can't see a reason for why they tried softs.
The lighter car with fresh meds might go up to 7th but not much time to catch Russell I guess.

Both MERCs ahead.. with HAM started at the back of grid. They screwed everything. It is impossible to fight for 4th position in championship with only 1 car
