Force India are not running with FRICS in Monaco after having discovered that the system was malfunctioning in Barcelona. Full story here (dutch). Hülkenberg also had an issue with his new floor, good for being 0.5 sec slower per lap then Perez, and will get an updated floor for Monaco.

Monaco:
A small update regarding the (turning) vane at the rear of the floor, it's slightly longer, streching a bit more toward the sidepod area

I cannot get to the Dutch article. What was the cause of FRIC failure? Does FI run a FRIC system or a Suspension Interlink System (all four corners connected)?

The VJM07 was sporting cooling gills on Thursday, weird because I thought that this car had cooling overcapacity.

Its cause was not clearly stated unfortunately.

The excess cooling was before they introduced tighter body work. With tighter bodywork they might require extra cooling.

Interesting.

First we saw segmented diffuser vanes on Caterham:

And now we see that Force India has segmented/notched diffuser vanes too.

Sorry for the noob question, but can someone explain me what is this and why is so special? Thanks.

It seems Force India was running asymmetrical front wing in Monaco OR it was broken in one of the skirmishes. However, it is looking like an intended job instead of a front wing failure !!

I think the wing was broken during a skirmish. Previous photos of the Monaco GP show a symmetric wing but I could be wrong.
