Two drivers from the top four will bin it in qualifying. Mark my words.

Was Sainz towed or was the suspension not broken and he could drive back?

Possible gearbox for Perez and Sainz (together with penalty) could put Max up to P2?
He'd be extremely lucky if that happens, and he would obviously be hoping for that. Even if this scenario does not play out, he'll get the chance to utilise his skills in the wet, and probably get Perez and Sainz.
Lucky is right... and there's just as much of a chance it will be likely.

Perez really had Max on the ropes there. Marko was enjoying it. Max will pull something off in the race I'm sure.

I think Sainz has another gearbox to use that wouldn't incur penalty, rules are different this year from last year in that regards IIRC.

Charles was going to improve his time by more than 0.4s, Checo robbed us of a stupidly fast lap.

Verstappen was not on pace all weekend, and he didn't try to overdrive, shows that he's more content with playing the long game now, unlike before, imo.

I was really looking forward to seeing Charles do a pole lap in these 2022 cars in the same ball park as last year. In the 1:10s I think.

Oh, you can swap a gearbox over under parc ferme without penalty now?

Might be lucky for Sainz and Perez then.

Ill be seriously shocked if Sainz gets away with hitting Perez, especially under double yellows; where you should be prepared to stop

The lap from Alonso was really good.

Leclerc always on it. Real title contender.

Sainz doing the job this weekend.

Perez showing his talent. Really good response to last week.

Verstappen is not in the hunt. The race is tomorrow, but his position is not bad.

Norris really impressive yet again.

Russell, wow.

Vettel dragging that pig into the top 10.

Hamilton no answer to Russell.

Ocon has no answer to Alonso.
Perez showing his talent by crashing his car?

Sainz doing his job by probably getting a penalty?

Lewis having no answer to Russell despite being ahead in every quali session and not being able to set a time on his new set because of the red flag?
Perez showing his talent by outpacing WDC winner teammate.

Sainz doing his job by putting the Ferrari where it needs to be. Seriously doubt any penalty is coming given the timing of the flags.

After what happened to Charles last year, you wouldn't even blame the teams.
Anyway Charles 2021 really ripped the axle apart, Ferrari took a gamble, with Checo and Sainz the car still has 4 wheels.

I don't have the data but Brazilian commentators said Max was improving (nowhere near Charles), while Checo was yellow and overdriving.

Max was on PB, and given the small difference between him and Perez, probably would have out qualified him.

Seeing the pictures with double yellow flags I think Sainz is in trouble.

Not that it matters but I think it was single yellow being waved. The light panel came on super late also, will be interesting to see what happens here.

Sainz and PΓ©rez with Sergio being the cause of it. Words marked. Can you guess the winner now? πŸ˜†

I mean the pole sitter is very likely to win it. So i personally guess it will be Charles. But who knows it's Monaco.
