Oracle Red Bull Racing RB19 Speculation Thread

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

Why does the car look melted like the Mercedes zeropods
It looks nothing like zeropods.
Wrong pic,on this it looks melted or just an illusion

Yes but it looks way more accentuated, unless you have a pic from that angle
Maybe they made the sides slimmer

A more outwashing sidepod shape makes sense. With the raised floor edge, you need more force to keep high pressure air from entering the floor.

Compared to last year it looks like a definite evolution. Due to the video quality it’s obviously hard to tell, but for me the three main differences I see are:

1) Completely different FW geometry/concept (only one I’d guarantee at this point  )

2) Slightly wider, flatter nose compared to last year. Looks like the same cross sectional area but just a flatter shape. Sort of like the 2022 haas nose tip if anything.

3) Bottom half/undercut on side pods is brought a little bit more forward compared to RB18. Maybe they also changed the downwash ramp angle.

This is a stationary image from RB's recent insta post of the car.

The engine cover/shark fin seems to have this shape

Probably because of the low resolution, but air intake seems smaller to me compared to RB18 in similar angles

Watch this video and focus on the car's right rear-view mirror. Has their location significantly moved or is it just me? Seems they are not above the sidepod anymore. Might be above & in front of the sidepod inlets?

RacingNews365 understands that Red Bull don't have any weight issues with their new car, following a 2022 season where they battled with an overweight car.

That would be a big airbox change if that isn't an illusion/artifact :wtf:

Looking again at other images, I think that the airbox being that small is entirely an artifact:

In some frames it is shrunken
