Just wondering did ALO take kimoa to AM?
i would imagine unless there is some kind of conflict of interest in the fashion ties that stroll has. but i dont remember seeing it on his helmet lately. not that ive looked for it really haha

Well Newey was asked who his competition are and he mentioned Ferrari, Mercedes and AMR soo.. seems their sim numbers were real :D

Alonso finally with a good career move?
Wouldn't that be wonderful! :D

But baby steps, we need to see Aston Martin get to the top of the midfield first.

The hype train is definitely full steam ahead, pending the low fuel runs of other mid-field teams on the next two test days.
Alonso's first low fuel run out of the blocks and 4 hundredths off verstappen, albeit running later in the day. I would be surprised if Aston martin aren't well clear of the midfield
PdR said AM did not and will not run low fuel during test.

We already know pole was in the 1:30s. So a lap on the late 32s is not low fuel.

Yeah it’s still on his helmet, just very small (top, next to the Citi branding, only really visible in the second pic).

My god. Am I dreaming?

If Fred has a car that can push for podiums, we are going to see the 05’-06’ driver that put Schumacher into retirement. Endless years of frustration are about to see daylight, and my friends we have a front row seat. 8) Epic! =D> =D>

I think it’s really too early to be optimistic and dream podiums and title fights… Guys, it’s just day 1 of testing with 100 laps done and no idea what fuel or setup… Let’s wait a bit more and see… Would be EPIC!
Team Fernando!

Alonso had a big temperature advantage compared to Max's lap which was done quite some time before, he also only did 6 laps afterwards compared to Max's 10 or so, and Alonso pushed quite a bit. There's likely quite some tenths in all of that (plus what we don't know), so let's not aim for the sky yet. Still, the Aston seems to be a good car.

I feel for Felipe, who only had the final 20 minutes of the morning to learn the limit and drive the car quickly. But I understand that this is the best decision for the team in view of Alonso's experience.

I hope the team can give Felipe more test minutes later on so he can gain more experience, even if it's testing with cars from previous years.
