Rooney was useless in the world cup. No reason why he should he even start.
Gerrard, Lampard and Defoe were the most effective. Is Rooney the poster boy for the brits?
He contributed nothing, and only helped to embarrass England. Germany brought out an under 21 team basically.
For Sure!!

Rooney? Oh you mean Shrek?

Put an old granny at the other end of the pitch and he'll run like the wind!

Argentina 3 - 1 México.

It should have been 2-1, since Tevez was offsides on the first goal. Mexico should have had a different lineup, no Blanco? No Vela? #-o

But nearly two fights, one during halftime and the other right after the final whistle.

Not a great start to my day, I missed another race (after Canada) by waking up late, and then Mexico lost.

Unlucky, Although Im delighted because the useless England (by far the most over-rated team in the competition) are finally out, and Argentina are through!

I feel for you Mexico though, FIFA are a disgrace, twice in one day they've shown their inadequecy, and after that and many many other examples (France v Ireland - Henry's handball) they still wont introduce the video technology.

I thought that England was very unlucky. They should have gone into the break with 2:2. A crass misjudgment by the referees. But a late revenge for the same mistake 44 years ago in Wembley to their advantage.

The second half saw a better match by the German team which ran the English away. A good decision to mix so many young players with some experienced athletes.

The German keeper was exceptional despite his youth. Löw has a lot of talent to utilize. Schweinsteiger was a hero in this match again. His preparation of the 4:1 was beautiful to watch.

So far everything is going to plan in the second round of the tournament.

Sepp Blatter is a disgrace.

Engalnd and Mexico were done by silly decisions

England was done by virtue of having a defence that didn't bother to turn up.

Very good goalkeeper indeed.
The 4:1 was prepared by Ozil btw.
And I hope Germany is going home after battling it out with Argentina in the next round. Sorry WB ;)

Oops, my bad. I mixed it up with the third goal. They came so quickly after each other and both were beautifully done.

I beg to differ from the great admin there.

At the begin of the tournament I thought that the German team might embarrass us, but they have fought very well so far and the luck was on their side, which is also important. I certainly would like to see them advance further than one more match.

German goalkeeper was good?!
What were you watching?
Ive played and coached football at a Professional level and he is technically rubbish!
Very good save at the end though and against Lampard int he first half.
But saying that - David James had a shocker aswell.
England were and are Rubbish - It makes me Embarrased to be English!
All in all I thought Germany exploited England at there weaknesses which is how to deal with a counter.
Argentina look the favourites for me. Theres obvious reasons why I wouldnt like Maradona but I starting to like him. His excentric managerial style is working very well.
Just hope its an interesting world cup from now on in.

Ya i was just about to say, what planet were you on, the German keeper was rubbish!! Dodgey at best. Watch englands goal again, he made a clown of himself, and Lampards free, it was right above him and he left it. Sure he made one good save, but that doesnt hide his many many mistakes. Just as well england were so woeful

The refs have destroyed this world cup, very dissapointing, the fans should write FIFA sucks on their asses and moon the officialsevery chance they get.

Apart from their usual bias they have multiplied their ineptitude to never seen before levels.

I think that the off side from the 1st Tevez goal was a difficult call for the lineman. Its pretty obvious in the TV, but the direction Tevez and the 2 Mexican defense are running in that moment can play tricks on your eyes.

The big error here was to replay the goal in the stadium screen. FIFA said that polemic plays wont be repeated in the screens...
