No they're struggling with a general lack of mechanical grip at the front. The Pull rod is not working for them. They simply cannot get it to ride the bumps and provide enough cornering grip. They are playing around with the rear to get some balance and consistency.
Rumour in the pit is that the heavily revised car will ditch the pull rod front. i.e. they making a new tub and front suspension.
There is nothing wrong with their exhausts. It has minimal effect
Hi guys. Long time lurker, first time poster.
I didn't think he ran it either, at least he didn't in FP1, you can see the pictures on page 122, and he's not using it. Guess they decided otherwise.Ferrari2183 wrote:Hi guys. Long time lurker, first time poster.
I was under the impression that Massa didn't run the new front wing.
Reruns of the FP's coming shortly here in South Africa. I will be paying more attention this time without the live timing.Crucial_Xtreme wrote:I didn't think he ran it either, at least he didn't in FP1, you can see the pictures on page 122, and he's not using it. If JB fights his car it means he's not getting anywhere, otoh FA is fine with it, just different styles.FakeAlonso wrote:I saw a comparison on SKy top camera between JB and FA on FP1 and Alonso was fighting with the car while JB was very smooth. Overall Alonso was good and he was happy with the car.

Well, what I meant is that you absolutely have to give JB a stable car, so with that in mind you do all your development work and he just won't push the car if it doesn't feel right to him, Alonso might be much more adventurous with what he does with the car, so having a stable car might nor be the first priority for him. You should probably compare Lewis to Alonso to have better impression on what cars are like.FakeAlonso wrote:Well cant say different style, this was a comparison on the last corner before alonso lost the back of the car. To me the car looks difficult to drive but in the same time the car looked strong. Hopefully with some set up they can optimize it for qualy and race.
