I'm not so sure i believe that. I can't see what benefit adding an aerodynamic appendage in the location would give, not to mention the image is to small to see any real detail. It could easily be a reflection, or some other anomaly.

It looks a bit too sharp to be a reflection when you compare it to other reflected objects on the sidepod, it looks like a sensor or something to me but it's a small image.

It looks like they're going a little McLaren's way with venting hot air high up at the sides.

To me it looks like it'll attach to the upright turning vanes just in front of the sidepods. Definitely not a reflection.

It looks tighter at the front too. In general it looks like they've shrink wrapped the car a bit more.
