My guess would be an even more severely undercut shaped pod. Almost like semi half moon discs either side. Genuinely looking forward how far teams can push the packaging. With a new floor of course as that’s where the proper gains are made

zeropod is just not possible since it require a entirely new chassis. MB had their radiators moved really close to the chassis which then affected the shape of the fuel tank and cockpit position. Which would obviously all require a new floor. Not to mention they would need to redesign all the bodywork along with front wing since the car has changed completely downstream.

2 tenths is a decent chunk if it's real lap time. Feel like a lot of teams bring "big upgrades" that end up being sort of 2-3 tenth upgrades. Think Merc, Ferrari, AMR this season.

Well Amus released news of RB bringing a Hungary update but also now bringing upgrades after the summer break... The timing speaks of RB pushing the floor upgrade to after the summer break as the final upgrade of the season imo

RB have only had 1 spec of floor for 2023 so far, other than the floor edge. I expect a second specification, which max hinted towards as early as Baku. It's also where you'd expect a lot of laptime to be gained..

Yes you're right 2 tenths is a lot I was just kidding around as RB clearly don't need more laptime as telemetry shows, except to deliver more 1-2s for Perez

I'm also speculating that original plan was a larger upgrade package for Hungary and then nothing after summer but the Hungary package was split up with current advantage in mind. Why bring the new floor yet if old floor has races left in it

RBR doesn't look like they are rushing to introduce their upgrade and Max doesn't seem bothered by Mclaren and Merc development gain either. This can only mean that RBR still have lots of potential and upgrade for the car which they are not revealing yet. I reckon the next upgrade should be good to last RBR all the way till Abu Dhabi.

I think it's somewhat pointless to see radical new sidepods halfway through a season which has already been won. So I assume it's with an eye towards the RB20.

I suspect it's some kind of inverted bath tub design. Either the tub is in the side face of the sidepod, or it's on the underside, sitting above the old undercut. Something very scalloped. Perhaps it was being prempted with the raising of the sidepod inlet. That would qualify as "stunning".

Or it could all be bs, and it's just a new mirror
