Vettel now fast in mid sector and goes P2
Nice to see him go faster than Webber by 2.5 tenth
Frustratingly I don't think he's managed to get far enough into a race for us to really see if this is the case or not.Artur Craft wrote:Have you guys realized this year's trend of Schumacher always been faster than Nico with prime tires, but sometimes Nico is faster with options?
I'm starting to think MSC have a car set for primes, on regular basis.
He really missed the apex of penultimate corner and compromised his speed on the big straight followed by it. He was slower even than STR, by a tenth, and maybe his best time would have been 0,25-0,3s slower than Nico's.myurr wrote:Schumacher quickest but missed a couple of apexes. Rosberg then bests it by half a second.
not really, A FI was in his way.myurr wrote:Clean run for Vettel as well and he goes P2, just 0.15s back.
At least that's the case on FPs and Q1smyurr wrote: Frustratingly I don't think he's managed to get far enough into a race for us to really see if this is the case or not.
It's saddening They do have a bit of previous on that. Hockenheim 2010 springs to mind - they were losing 8 tenths in the last sector of Hockenhiem (with the tiny infield) and were gaining some 4 or 5 tenths in Sector 2 with the straight.myurr wrote:It's the middle sector where they're losing out. I fear they have the wrong downforce level on that car this weekend.
You'd probably still put on a higher downforce setting in China - there are two sweepers that aren't exactly medium or slow corners. Here the straights make up a bigger percentage of the lap too methinks.Artur Craft wrote:Anyway, the track layout is not much different than China's. No high speed corner whatsoever, a couple of medium speed ones and plenty of slow corners and long straights.
fia official website. Go to F1 media center and click on timing infoflickster wrote:Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask lads but what is the best website for me to get Lap time data for the cars over FP3?
I would like to compare the long-run times of different teams. The data would be very handy so I can find out who has real pace over race distance.
Thanks you.
