Get overtaken like that is an achievement? Ferrari = slower car overall but looking at Alonso-Ricciardo Ferrari engine (at this stage of the race?) looked worse than Renault. Not to mention traction.

"1,5 s per lap this should be easy". Ooops. Perfect prediction: Lewis losing to one Williams.

Lack of FRIC made the difference if you need to ask. We're talking of relative differences and tenths of a second, Red Bull&Williams might relatively gained tenth between teach other=gap pretty much the same but 0,3 over Merc, same or more for McLaren or Ferrari. Reference points are not clear.

In the end correct strategy for Vettel and bottas. Very good race for the top 4. Hamilton could have had second place had he been more patient while overtaking. I'm sure without the frontwing damage his tires would have lasted a bit better overall

Merc still have a massive advantage in the race even without FRIC and missing elements of a front wing, Bottas is just a machine, how many laps did those tyres do?

As a Hamilton fan i was frustrated not to see the safety car deployed.I mean we seriously have seen SC going out for much less serious issues but with a car parked in the middle of the start/finish straight? Damon Hill in SKY commented the exact same thing.Well maybe wouldnt make any difference who knows but it was a smart move from Mercedes to pit at the time.As for the race it was a fun one,i kind of enjoyed it and Hungary is just next week so im happy

I think, had Lewis driven with a bit more patience, second was there for easy taking. When he collided with Button, arguable that Button left BIG room, strategy wise they had to reduce that stint and put Super Softs. Had he not damaged his wing, he would have ran a little longer on those Softs and then one more stop. But, what an entertainment along the way and so much between Ferrari and Red Bulls.

Finally, TRICK on FRIC didn't worked. The order remained same and looks like it is going to remain same for next couple of races too.

Did anybody noticed that Redbull was quite quick on straights compared to other Renault powered teams... And what's happening with Lotus? They brought some improvements for this race but being 2-3 sec off the pace per lap is just frustrating. I can't belive how can you fail so much in less than one year time.

I think the FRIC ban has really upset their car. The FIA may say that the ban is because of cost saving, yet it seems it will cost Lotus dearly if they can't score any more points.

The supersofts just would not have lasted on Hamiltons car. Bottas had clean air and a more stable tyre. Hamilton passing him would not have happened i feel. There was just no way to stretch the SS tyre to give performance so late in the race against the second fastest car in a straight line. And this is even ignoring the front left wing damage on a track that seems to be punishing the front left tyre. So all in all a good fight from Hamilton.

I must say though, Hamilton did some ballsy 3 car abreast moves. And having Kimi involved was probably the best thing as well, as kimi spacial awareness is the best on the grid.
What was really dumb though was that vettel overtake on Kimi with Alonso involved. I didn't like how he squeezed kimi to the outside when alonso was out there. Vettel didn't have to do that as he already was on the inside with enough room to make a decent corner entry.
For Sure!!

bottas 334 kmh, no drs, no slipstream. Meanwhile renaults are happy with 330 tops with drs and slipstream. How can you fight that? Simple, you can't.

Big deal. Ham did it all the time, coming in hot with both brakes locked.
