I was thinking something similar.. More like it can release some air to 'make' a blown T-wing or something

Sort of like a chimney?

Is that a hole or is it flat, because if it's flat it's just like the Williams.

If you look at the new engine cover the ducts seem to wrap around either side of the airbox - there's a bulge there.

That looks interesting?!
I don't see any benefit from this solution  Titanic chimney .

It looks like it has a silver lip around it so I'd say a gap. It also looks like the fin stays that wide right down to the engine cover. but it is hard to tell from that picture.

Edit: There's the answer....

I'd say they are probably pumping oil with their oil pump.
Right but besides lubricating the rotating and reciprocating assembly inside the engine, there's other places you can pump oil to. There's external tanks, and other things we know nothing about, with various valves, and check valves and fittings.

Hole on top of fin looks like a chimney exhaust for cooling. The radiator is at the top of the Mercedes logo.

If that doesn't effect the Aero then its a very clever way of dumping extra hot air.

A chimney slit. But what if it rains? I hope it won't cause moisture problems.

Yes you can see that the gap in the wing is about 90 degrees to the cover, and about 45 from the ground, the whole fin opens and closes around this "chimney"

Typically the airbox splits into many different tubes that run to different coolers. There's nothing to say that a hot air exhaust can't run through the gaps between those tubes.
