Even though there been numerous reports of the cars having to be modified to use them in previous tests? Were not talking about road tyres where you only need to make sure the tyres are the same size and drive.
you're implying i am dumb and have never seen F1?

i kno what all is changing and i know they have to adapt the 2019 car to the 2020 tyre but as you have noticed they devolped the car ALL YEAR and even with these 2019 tyres they struggled at the start and some still struggle
Then it’s obvious that sticking 2020 tyres on 2019 cars isn’t going to give a true comparison in these tests. As I said unlike a 2019 tyre on a 2019 car in these free practices.
i guess you just don't wanna see the point ..... so lets forget it

Yes because that actually makes sense.
2019 car + 2019 tyres + actual track we are racing on = real results.
A random test of 2020 tyres + 2019 car = suck it and see.
the actual point is the 2020 cars aren't different from the 2019 cars
They will have to be different because the 2020 tire is a very different construction. Supposedly it has much more sidewall flex.
Which is strange, because the 2021 18" tyres are low profile to reduce the sidewall flexing!

We will see Wass85

As for this weekend, If Bottas doesn't get within a couple of tenths of Lewis, you will look a little bit silly.
Yep we will see. If Hamilton beats Bottas by 5 tenths then I will eat my hat, there's nothing between them in qualifying and to get gaps like that something is not right for the trailing driver.
My friend. I thought you would know by now to never bet against Hamilton.

How large is this hat of yours now? And is it made of felt?
I would never bet against my fave driver I just can't see him outpacing Bottas by 5 tenths today. They have been neck and neck in outright qualifying pace barring a few outliers which went both ways.

Which makes me think teams may struggle to switch on the 2021 tires, which may be exactly why they abandoned the banning of tire warmers. Furthermore, inerters and any hydraulic suspension components are banned for 2021, so the teams will have less tools to deal with what might be vastly different tires for 2021. All combined with only 6 days of preseason testing from 2020 onwards.

Thanks Juhz.

Unless both Ferrari and RBR find a big improvement in setup, it will be an easy Merc pole

Did Vettel do his fastest lap (which was deleted afterwards) on old Softs which he already had done 2 fast laps on before?

Yep. However strangely all 3 top teams are getting better times 2/3/4 laps in.

Indeed. It seems some are incapable of impartiality.
James Allison confirmed Bottas lost the time on the straight. I wish he would stop being so impartial.
8/10ths on 1 straight? Was he driving in reverse?
Looks like it may have been a second.
