Toro Rosso reboot with Ricciardo and Tsunoda leading the charge wouldn't be a bad look...

How about... Rotestier! Austrian mothership after all. Maybe they don't like having two Alpha/Alfas on the grid at once.

Would there be any benefit/cost savings for RB if they were to transfer development of certain parts that can be purchased from a supplier - for example the front suspension - to SAT? In essence RBR becomes a customer of SAT...
From what has been mentioned, it would actually cost RB more to buy parts from SAT, then to make it themselves.

I don't know the country rules, nor am I and accountant, but there might be savings in how you can expense the purchasing of something rather than paying your own employees to do it. I really do think that it's more about finding a way to keep their best employees working on what they want to do, instead of sending them off to work on boats. Then loosing them to other teams(Rob Marshall) cause that's not what they want to do.

Just a thought ...you can start a company that would just manufacture Carbon fibre parts. The Company Like RBR and STR is owned by RB. All it does is make Carbon Fibre parts for Both RBR and STR.
FIA cost cap rules define cost of parts purchased with added "notional" cost of development. You might buy a front suspension for just $100 dollars, but FIA cost accounting takes it as $1 million dollars. If a team develops itself, then it might cost $500k dollars and FIA is ok with that. It's just an example. Buying parts comes with "customer penalty".

OK, I didn't know that.
If you design the part yourself and have a 3ird party make it, it's not considered buying it and wouldn't fall under "customer penalty". Which is what I proposed.

I'm thinking the team name will still resemble Bull, Taurus, Centaur or something to the effect. Toro Rosso is my favorite name and if the team retain it's Italian roots the team name may have an Italian flair to it.

It would be funny if it was Ford Taurus!

I did find it interesting that an email I received from AlphaTauri regarding auctioning of race worn suits and showcars came before this announcement. Interesting to see how this plays out.

On German Sky, Tost just said that they will bring "a lot of new parts" for Silverstone.

He also talked about Tsunoda a bit, who according to him showed great race craft recently. Tost was fairly impressed by his Monaco performance, for example, but unfortunately he struggled to keep break temperature up enough when it started to rain, resulting in his lack of pace. A mistake he expects him to learn from.

“Well, it’s still very early days, you know, for next year, and I think that Daniel is under contract for the year,” Horner told reporters in Austria when asked if Ricciardo could find himself at AlphaTauri next season.

“He’s going to be driving our car for the first time after the British Grand Prix [as part of a three-day test] and he’s obviously a world-class driver. He’s won what, seven [eight, sic] grands prix in his career to date?

“So I think the first thing will be to see how he performs and where his motivation is, and then from there, it’s a question for AlphaTauri as to, you know, their choices for the following season.”

This weekend for the Silverstone GP:

https://pbs.twimg.com/media/F0bOoPXXgAE ... name=large
Asked by Autosport to assess his first laps aboard the revised AT04, Tsunoda said: “So far, we can't see the results that we are improving massively.

He added that a couple of improvements were noticeable from the cockpit but, in some areas where the team had expected to take a step forward, the gains had not arrived.

Tsunoda said: “So far, it’s not looking good. The result is no good so far.

“We feel definitely a couple of gains in some places but some places we didn’t improve that we expected. So, we have to look through it deeply.”

It's not looking good

Alpha Tauri post-race comments
The aero update we have introduced here appears to be broadly in line with expectations, but it has not been enough to move us forward in Silverstone. The further planned aero update for Hungary will be an important step to start addressing this, to get back on track towards achieving our objectives.
Oh dear, last in the race, but the upgrades did what was expected. I hope this track was particularly bad for Alpha Tauri, and also that the next updates are somewhat miraculous. Hard work being a fan at the moment.

Underdogs are going to cycle. AMR and McLaren and even Williams are just bubbling up now.

🚨 Daniel Ricciardo is set to replace Nyck de Vries after the summer break, as per F1-Insider sources

The rest of the season would be about comparing Tsunoda and Ricciardo.

'Nyck de Vries leaving AlphaTauri with immediate effect'

Nyck de Vries would no longer be a Formula 1 driver for AlphaTauri. The Dutchman has lost his seat with the Italian team, writes F1 journalist Allard Kalff, who attends race weekends for ViaPlay.

It had been known for a while that Red Bull advisor Helmut Marko was not satisfied with the performance of the man from Sneek.

"Ricciardo will replace him."

𝐁𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐆: AlphaTauri and Nyck de Vries split up immediately 💔
In Great Britain he finished for the ninth time in ten races behind teammate Yuki Tsunoda
and seems to have crossed the line.
