I'm expecting a Lewis v Lando battle for the win. I bet Russel gets beat off the start.
It's still Lando vs Max for the win, they have advantage in race pace. Unless it rains.
Agree but I hope Lewis gets the the win tomorrow.
Toto will come in handy to make it happen

George is crying tears over on his fourth? pole eh?
First home pole!
George Russell "Superstar"! =D>

If only George had been promoted to contest the 2020 and 2021 WDCs, oh well.

Cracking effort by Mercedes GP! =D>

if I'm not mistaken, Russell showed 240 km per hour in Stowe, this is very fast, at the level of the W11, only Bottas' W10 showed 250 km per hour in 2019

George's race pace is the slowest out of the top three as a driver, but Lando has the best car for race pace.

Going to be interesting to see what happens.

Will George burn his tyres out again fighting a battle he can't win if that situation arises?

Will Lewis let Lando through if the pace isn't there or will be be the ultimate "wing man"?

That Russell win was just a one-off eh.. lol

I believe a Russel win tomorrow is possible if the car is good on tires, if Russel botched this then Hamilton with his superior tyre management is the next.
Norris, verstapen, sainz will loose time on fighting. It's in Mercedes hands imo.

There's a lot of LH fans who really can't get it through their head that GR might be that good.

Weird.

And there's a lot MB fans that cannot digest that Hamilton leaves for another team. We see it since the movement is announced.
They are both great drivers but Hamilton is the more experienced 7 time WC and you cannot throw that in the bin.

It's potentially a wet start tomorrow and that means there is no DRS for a while. Mercedes can hold off McLarens if they manage a good start. But holding up Lando for long might not be possible and Max would come behind very quickly. It would be sensible for Mercedes to target podium and not a win. If it's dry, then Lando and Max would make a quick work of both Mercedes. Yet, a podium for either Mercedes would be just fine given where they are, unless a cool track gives them upper hand over McLaren.

Current forecast is for a wet-to-dry race like Canada. It will be important to manage the inters as long as possible, and survive. Inevitable safety car will bring everyone back together in time for a dry sprint to the end.

Is there historical data of how accurate weather predictions were in the UK? Seems like an impossible thing to predict accurately.

I don't know about tomorrow, but today's forecast was relatively spot on compared to what was predicted on Friday. Therefore, I have about the same confidence in what is predicted for tomorrow. We might not know precisely when the rain stops, but I'm confident that slicks will be run near the end.

Weird.
Actually, there are a lot of LH fans who know how good GR is and have said so for quite some time.

There are quite a few LH haters who downplay GR as a way to have a go at LH. But that's nothing new in sport.

Why shouldn't they target a win? With two cars up there they have the best chance of any team to play the strategy game. Lando needs Oscar to pressure Max and/or get ahead of him. Indeed, the fighting between P3-P5 could play into Merc's hands.

But much will depend on who is where at the end of lap 1.
