But it sounds more like Ayrton Senna in McLaren at Donington in 1993?
nope, it was neither Donnington nor Nürburgring.

But I'm certain it is a race won by one Michael Schumacher sometime between the end of 95 and beginning of 00!

That is a sensible assumption. And I see that I need to educate the board about the great man's very special races.

In that case. Without looking things up, the one that leaps to mind is Spa in '92?

However I have looked it up and it's not Spa 92. It feels a bit of a cheat though so I'll leave it for someone else with proper Grand Prix knowledge.

In the mean time C-C, off thread, Ford financed a V12 in 1971, intended for F1 but never raced. Who designed it?

I'm sure this is the race where MS is overtaking Jean Alesi's Benetton on wets, when being on intermediates himself.

Xpensive, Well there was the Westlake engine? But I don't know who designed it. And about overtaking Alesi, I think you are right.

Harry Weslake designed this brilliant piece of machinery, sadly down on power due to poor revs though.

Yes, timbo that was the one when GP.com titled "Michael walking on water". All Schumacher fans were really depressed because the 1996 Ferrari was a truck to drive and Michael used the spare car to 100% gambling on a total wet setup. He eventually used the setup for qualifying and the race. The race was utter dominance similar to Senna 1993. There was not much joy that year for MSC fans.

Are you kidding? Spa and Monza?
And the tranquility for the tifosi that Michael would give them what they where expecting?

Well those were good races as well because the tracks don't need much downforce, but the rest was hard to bear. The 1996 Ferrari was not only slow but also unreliable.

Over to timbo for a new question.
