Webber completes a mere five laps and is in the garage most of the time. Unfortunately this will be another weekend where he trails Vettel.

Into the 1:34s. Unreal....Do I hear a 1:33 for pole while we're at it?

Looked like the favouritism over Vettel is way over the edge. They choose Webber to be their laboratory hamster for experimenting the faulty KERS instead of Vettel.I doubt if he even has the kers on,they never put the "keep clear" sign on Vettels car.Its like RB running with one driver and mysteriously enough all problems occur to Webber.Shame to bad for Mark.

I suppose we could tell if Vettel was running KERS if he had the large outlet on the engine cover. Anyone remember if he was?

Comparing Malyasian quali is probably not a good comparison. Quali was on a wet track. The 2010 times were very slow in comparison to 2011.

2010 1 Mark Webber 1:49.327
2011 1 S Vettel Redbull 1:34:870 12

Australia was just slighty faster this year.
2010 S Vettel Red Bull 1:23.919
2011 S Vettel Bull-Renault 1:23.529

They may not get to the 1:34's but I think that may only be because RB are not using KERS!
But then again I may be way wrong
It is as you said a "big maybe" 8)
Vettel already in 134's I think 2 or 3 will find it maybe more in Q3
as the track rubbers in more. Warmer weather may help as well :)

found that strange as well. almost felt sorry for old webs.

anyhoo, looks like Hamilton has learnt from china 2010: he's running conservative in the first two sectors to condition the tyres. eve though the pirrelis are very different to the bridgestone Lets see if it pays off this time around.

he used a bit of kers not during but after he set the fastest time.
So it is equiped on his car... very ominous indeed.

Yup. I saw it go down by some 5% or so (guesstimation from the graphic)

Weird how everything works on Vettel's car...

Unless someone can assume that RedBull isnt capable of providing two fully working cars for the third race in a row now.

Last year Chinese GP, there was a banner displayed by some Chinese fans, stating something like:" F1 without Schumi is like life without sex." Wonder if that is same case for this year.

Hopefully, Schumi can qualify nearer to the front. [-o<
