I wonder how she'll look tomorrow with a full load of fuel.

Oh. So you can do CFD by eyeball and mental math then?

We'll see. The other part of this is not knowing how much of their issue is inherent to the car design and how much is a poor setup or prep work before the event. Something must have caught them out for the car not to just be slow but to be all over the place.

Will be pretty apparent pretty soon.
I cannot, and I will not do CFD by the eyeball. Regarding math, I've studied quite a bit of it…

It's MY OPINION that the acer ducts are wrong, that doesn't make it neither right nor wrong. I've never claimed to be right, I just expressed my idea on the subject.

And regarding to how much of their issue is inherent to the car design and how much is a poor setup, both Fry and Domenicalli have clearly stated the team had to backtrack on the original exhaust system, and the whole design concept of the rear of the car (blowing the brake ducts), due to the major issues they found in the Jerez test (loss of downforce on the corners, tyre overheating), and improvise a "compromise" and more conventional solution, until they can make the original design to work (IF they can).

According to the very people of Ferrari, technical director and sportive director, the car is on the back foot from the very beginning,

Not heard that one. Interesting.
Only that I picked up that by his own admission, he's not going to be at the races any more "to focus on other businesses",
while his new title as CTO with Mark Smith as TD and Dieter Gass as DTD sounds over the top for a minnow like Caterham?

Other than that, just a wet dream of mine.

The car actually doesn't look that bad on full fuel. But it just gets slower and slower as it gets lighter....

It seemed to me that the car actually liked being on the harder compound. And Alonso taking it to fifth is a slightly good omen, means it's not all lost. They just need to take their thumbs out of their asses and get on with it.

Yeah, same impression. Maybe the progressive characteristic of suspension is not calibrated correctly? Or there's slight weight distribution shift that the car is very sensitive to?

It seems the team has found something for the pit stops. They had the fastest stops on the grid. Alonso had the fastest stop of the race. Very good job.

That is good indeed. Alonso said there is no updates for Sepang because the race is within a week.

Dont you think they could bring something for Sepang? I mean what are the guys at the factory doing? Well the car pace was ok but still ALonso could not keep up with the top 4 and was under pressure from Maldonado. I hope is a matter of setup but i doubt that, i think they need to bring some updates to give some performance to the car so Alonso can fight with the top guys.

I think B-spec car to bring it ASAP to change Clifford into Angry Clifford. And in Sepang they will tweak what they have.

I think they had much more relevant info from this race than from the last test, so how fast they can react? Also, Sepang being the first of the modern Tilke-tracks would give them more info yet.
They need to sort the setup to make car better in Q for now.

Well they are working on a complete redesign of the rear end of their car, starting from sidepods to the exhaust. And that will require a little bit of time to come up with. Hence as Fry said, they will test the new package in May and it'll be a completely new chassis, which will have to go through the crash test also.

Hence you may not see any major update before that, and even if you see it'll all be tiny bits.

Money just flying out the window at Ferrari right now. They practically want to build a new car during the season?
