Oracle Red Bull Racing RB19 Speculation Thread

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

It looks just like a slimmer and trimmer RB18. Will probably be lighter and it looks like they have put the paint back on the car.

With the new front wing and floor change because of the fw the change is pretty big

In this picture their sidepod also looks quite different to me. Maybe Redbull way of last years Ferrari concept. I think it is roughly like this. :)

Oracle logo is playing tricks on geometry appearance.
And they call it a stall. A STALL!

sidepod side at the video looks similar to what we saw last year and different when I look at the picture( very blurry )

Yeah, not much can be taken from video without doubt. I think only thing for sure is central loaded front wing as a decent change from RB18.

Compare it to the undercut last year

https://i.imgur.com/oumBukE.jpeg

The front of the sidepod undercut (around the O of ORACLE) outwashes far more aggressively, more ferrari-like in that sense
They are using smoke to visualize the air flow arpuns the sidepod.... Interesting.

Nope. Never mind.. Either reflection or high rake rear.

The side pod does have a weird depression in the middle of it. Like a mega-outwashing feature.

I've replayed the video a couple of times and to me the sidepod inlet seems different. You can see it when the car still going around the corner on the right hand side of the car (so left side on the video). Anyone else see the same or is my mind playing tricks on me?

I haven't seen the sidepod inlet at all in the videos we've seen

Could it be that the air inlets are to the underside of the sidepods as shown by the arrows?

To me, it looked like new one at higher not lower. The area you pointed out are down side of inlet. there is nothing.

Sidepod inlet is higher. Low inlet would make no sense for their concept. It's a continuation of last year's side pod with perhaps a more narrow inlet.

I honestly wouldn't get too carried away based on some blurry images, imho all the key visual elements of the car are still there, the dip in the sidepod, the central cooling outlets, same position for the sidepod inlets etc

Based on that, the only change I could say with certainty is the centre loaded front wing. The nose change could just be the livery making it look slightly different

Just think back to the last few pages of the RB18 speculation thread, the car had multiple sidepod inlets, a t-wing/2nd wing, boomerang shaped wishbones and a Z shaped shark fin
