However, **bah humbug moment** I cannot tell if you are serious with your technical upgrades as most of them seem to be akin to sticking a 3 inch big bore on mother's fiesta and an enormous bonnet scoop -just because that is what xxx did so it must be good.
I am serious with the technical upgrades, and I haven't just copied other people's ideas.
I was going to just shut up and admire the work..but the last update refs
3:- added an upper splitter just as all teams have them.?
If all f1 teams have a small splitter there then what good reason is there for me to not have one. You can't expect me to do wind tunnel testing to see if it gives an advantage.
4:- an original splitter on the bottom of the chassis.
Both just strike me as over egging the pudding.
The no4 is not legal as not got a shadow plate and would cause all sorts of sickening headaches for the aero people..
It doesnt need a shadow plate as it is less than 330mm behind the front wheel centre line, which is where the flat bottom rule starts. The splitter is designed to be aerodynamically beneficial by directing the air to the bargeboard area earlier on than the main splitter.
All that humbuggery aside - you guys have the skills..but are these pretty pictures or serious design practices?
krristian is very kindly doing some cfd on my car when he has the time, so the model isnt just pretty pictures
