edit: Petrov said he had a suspension failure, so perhaps the upright?

I still think brake disk. It happened at both cars in the braking zone.

Yeah a big puff of black from the wheel before the tyre shredded. Def brake issue, much like Heidfeld, but in a heavier brake zone.

Wonder what Renault has changed in their brake setup since Australia?

Vettel didn't seem happy all session and never looked quick, maybe he's having a few "setup" issues with his car? :lol:

Sorry for the OT but this comment reminded me of a Fangio story. It seems he was having vibrational issues with his car. He adressed the problem to the team and the next day(race day) the problem was solved. Fangio thanked the whole team for the great effort.

Meanwhile, during race, Fangio's partner kept complaining of a vibrating car :p

Something to consider if you didn't already know:
Pirelli brought here a new hard compound to be evaluted only in Friday's free practice so it is more difficult to make proper comparisons.
