P7 in the end, almost had 6th. I'll take that! Pace on hards was decent, a good positive to build on.

So close to 6th and a good race how it went. Better job this time I have to say and it's a shame that Danny Ric didn't finish as he had the speed to get some points also at that last part. Hards were working very well with the car.

More than decent job today. Lucked by cars infront dropping out, but still decent pace. Hopefully this is not a fluke, but an indicator things can get better when season progresses.
If i would get the money to start my own F1 team, i would revive Arrows

Different pace on fuel level and different tyres. Also very different result compare to last race. A lot to learn from it. Top speed is a pain.

Too bad Lando couldn't snap 6th.

Good recovery from Bahrain. I feel that part of the bad result there was a risky alternate strategy they took there.
He messed up deployment... Went a lap early by mistake  could have easily had P6 just like he could've been in Q3 yesterday. Lando needs to cut out the mistakes...

Yeah, I suspected it would hurt them in the race going that high on the wings, but to be honest I was mostly thinking suffering to get in the points, not suffering to get a P6 :D

Much better than Bahrain. Now if they polish this concept and get more underfloor downforce, the drivers can work with it. Doesn't look as hopeless as it looked back in 2018.

In this new Formula 1 rules how much can a car gain on an upgrade compared to the last 3 years?

Much more than in the past because the concept is still not fully understood and immature. I expect McLaren to roll up with an A.5 Spec at Imola

It has been done before.

RedBull started 2017 in Australia with a car that was 1.5s off the pole, by Barcelona they were 0.5s and by the end of the season, they won a race in Malaysia on pace.

Considering all the problems, a very worthy result.

Reasons for the RIC's departure?

Pace was extremely good on that last stint - comparable or even faster than leaders near the end

You mean Charles/Max leaders, or Sergio/Carlos leaders? Either way, it's a very positive sign to be anywhere near that level of pace. In Bahrain, the median gap to the top was close to 3 seconds I think. Bahrain was painful to watch.
