Drawing was based on Mp4-8, that's why it has Goodyear tires and number 12.

How close was the MP4-27's nose to the 2014 regs? I remember the chassis was lower to begin with, so that meant it didn't require such a dramatic step to the low nose.

I know it would fly in the face of conventional wisdom, but do we think there's any chance that McLaren will go back to that - pretty successful - model, with the lower chassis? They changed in '13 due to greater development opportunities but it bit them in the arse, so perhaps a tried and trusted model (with a formula that way well reward reliability) is not such a bad idea.

If first time around the car failed and from everything I have read the nose failed. Can we assume the nose will be very short my understanding was the nose could be behind the front wing?

No, it might be just light. Usually parts fail because teams try to get them as light as possible.

I'm sure all teams are pushing to be as light as possible but you can see the positive by having failed you now know how light is too light..
