Mercedes AMG F1 W07

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

This one seems to differ from the other ducts in that the entry duct appears to have open edges which perhaps affects the way it operates when the car is in yaw.

I still seem to have a hard time wondering how much volume of air they can actually move. They seem so small, against the scale of the car.
No good turn goes unpunished.

The shark.
I can see the shark like look under the nose. But I dont get what Bruno and Shark have in relation to each other
Now it's Bruce. Turns out they have the memory of a goldfish (or Dory?), such as myself. The big shark from Finding Nemo. Although the first version of Bruce was, in fact, called Bruno.

Anyway. This car will be glued to the ground with the new vanes, barge board, serrated floor, and S-duct. Beautiful. =D>

AMuS is saying that the nose is a bit smaller at the tip, but tbh for me it looks slightly wider. I think the overall nose shape isn't that different. Just a bit more rounded at the tip.

We all have a search engine: the mechanical shark used in Jaws was nicknamed Bruce, and Pixar took the opportunity to call Finding Nemo's shark Bruce.

Yeah cables/sensors attached with silver tape

I don't see that - with the exception of the pylons being closer together.

So all this Hype for an S-Duct? :wtf:

After what has been written about that Nose i would have expected a little more. It was supposed to be radical and innovative..... The Turning Vanes look more interesting than the Nose if you ask me.
